Besides stand-up comedy, I’m also a huge professional wrestling fan. I started working around and with independent wrestling at fifteen years old helping with booking talent, designing flyers, and editing videos. There hasn’t been a moment in my life that I wasn’t attached to pro-wrestling and I talk a lot about it in my jokes.
You know what else I fuck with for real? Puppets. Boy I love a puppet. It probably started when I saw Elmo for the first time. But also Jeff Dunham was cold to me too. Puppets have kind of always been around and I will always fuck with them. I got a couple of puppets myself, but I really need to get a custom one.
I’m heavily inspired by creatives like Donald Glover, Kanye West, and Tyler, the Creator to do everything I can in one life time. Stand-up is just one of the things I love to do. I also work as a photographer, videographer, graphic designer, social media manager, and an all around creative.
Uhhh what else. I fw porn. I think it’s dope, but also dangerous. I’m a big fan of the 90s Ebony MILF aesthetic, but unfortunately that died out.
Aight man, if you read this far you real as hell. I hope to see you soon!
meet khris!
Khris Black is a Brooklyn born and raised stand-up comedian, writer, and creator. Bro, I’m so sorry I actually hate writing in third person for this site. Like it’s not me typing this all out. I ain’t hire nobody. I am a Brooklyn born and raised stand-up comedian, writer and creator. I fell in love with comedy while watching Comedy Central way past my bedtime when my mom would fall asleep before me.
I’d be five years old watching Chappelle’s Show and South Park which shaped my understanding of humor and laid the groundwork for my desire to make people laugh.
I first did stand-up in 2017 in the basement of the Triple Crown Ale House on my friend Kyle Lewis’ long-running show, Character Select Comedy. From my first set, I knew this is what I wanted to do.
Since then I’ve performed in some of the most prestigious clubs in New York City like The Stand, Second City, UCB and even at venues like The Javits Center.
I love to talk about my experience as a New Yorker, growing up as a wrestling fan, and my relationships with my friends, family, and partners.
Entertaining and putting a smile on people’s face is one of my favorite feelings in the world, and this is one of my favorite ways to do it. Tap in with me to see the journey!
